Kenya - Mama Grace Muthoni smiles all the way to the bank from time to time and it all has to do with poultry farming.
After farming herself with just a small amount as capital, Muthoni set out to start her farm which is now thriving with turkey, guinea fowl, chicken and ducks.

According to the hardworking middle-aged farmer, turkeys are the most profitable of the birds.
Muthoni revealed that the price of the one-day-old chick is KSh 100 while a one-month-old is sold at about KSh 300. There are a lot of challenges when raising turkeys; many of them die within the one-month period.
She explained that when starting out, she didn't know how to balance the temperature of the incubator.
There is also the issue of diseases, Muthoni said that there are many diseases that plague poultry, especially in the month of July.
Grace wakes up very early to work on her farm and she has employed another person to give them food, water and clean their houses.
In another story, Isaac Kasonde who shunned university education to start a successful farm grabbed the attention of many after it became successful.
Kasonde's understanding parents encouraged him to pursue his farming passion and supported his decision by requesting a detailed proposal and buying him land.
In a YouTube interview, he showed viewers spinach, sukumawiki, and pepper as well as animal his husbandry for cows, pigs, and chickens.
