Egg candling classes offered - Early County News

Georgians who want to produce and sell shelled eggs obtain an egg candling certificate.

Each person who will act as a candler of eggs offered for sale must obtain certification. One can obtain an egg candling certification by attending a class and then successfully completing an egg candling examination. The exam tests both your knowledge and your practical ability to distinguish between grades of edible eggs and determine losses.

UGA Extension and Georgia Department of Agriculture are hosting Egg Candling Classes:

Please email [email protected] to get on the schedule for a class.

When you email, we will need the following information:

1. NAME of each person who would like to attend the class

2. MAILING ADDRESS of each person

3. EMAIL ADDRESS of each person

4. CLASS TIME you would like to attend

Study Information will be e-mailed after you sign up for the class. Please arrive at your scheduled time.

If you’ve registered and unable to attend, please email [email protected] ASAP to cancel so that the spot you reserved can be filled.
